Home Inspector Salary

The real estate market is booming, which is creating an increasing number of opportunities and high salaries for certified home inspectors. A study by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) found that the median pay for home inspectors was $60,000 per year with employment growing faster than average. The average home inspection fee is $400 in the United States, although the fee for each inspection may vary depending on home size, travel time, scheduling, and local markets. Home Inspectors who perform three inspections per week will gross approximately $1,200 per week ($62,400 per year) and those doing ten inspections a week will gross $4,000 per week ($208,000 per year). Home inspectors can complete 2-3 inspections in a single day.

Most Canadian provinces do not require a license to complete home inspections.
